WSU awaits Michigan in the second round of the WNIT
BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WRGT) -- Fairmont grad, Chelsea Welch and the Wright State women are staying alive in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The team narrowly beat Central Michigan to move on.
Welch lead the way for the Raiders with a game high 21 points, as her team won 66-64. Symone Simmons chipped in an additional 20 points to go along with three steals.
The Raiders will play Michigan in the next round.
