|36%||YES, IT'S WRONG|
|64%||NO, IT'S FINE|

Comment: People tend to treat their dog's better than humans
Comment: they are there for punishment!!nobody seems to worried about the elderly suffering from the heat. fair is fair! from miamisburg by MM
Comment: It's fine. But, every group in Americcan will be all over them if they do. Those people locked up for crimes have more rights than the rest of the people. They get free everything and the best. A hard working family has to struggle to make ends meet and nobody gives a damn. Commit a crime go to prison and let those struggling keep you. Something is definately wrong in the way the world works.They get all the health care they need at taxpayer expense. Yet a single mother with a low income job can't get insurance for her health. from y.s. ohio by cheryl
Comment: Instead of cutting power. Why not cut other extras. from greenville oh by tammy
Comment: INMATES NEED AIR CONDITIONING,and power just the same as anyone else.They have broken the law, but they are still human. from Fairborn, ohio by Darlene

Comment: Not everyone is privileged to have air conditioning. from Centerville, OH by Marilyn
Comment: they live better than some people do !!! from springfield, ohio by james
Comment: PRISONS WEREN'T MEANT TO BE COMFORT INNS. THESE PERPS DON'T HAVE TO WORK, ARE PROVIDED ROOM, BOARD AND MEDICAL AND DENTAL. THEY GET GYM EQUIPMENT AND TV. IF THEY DON'T LIKE THE SURROUNDINGS DON'T COME BACK. IF THE ACLU HAS A PROBLEM WITH CUTTING POWER IN THE PRISONS THEN LET THEM PAY FOR IT. from wonderful downtown Fairborn by the ol' Man
Comment: they are spending my money. I can't afford my bills either so I cut my air-condition, so can they. from Franklin, Ohio by Karen
Comment: Prison should be a miserable experience so men and women don't ever want to go back. They have too many comforts. from West Carrollton, OH by Sam
Comment: Definitely wrong, we bring our animals in from the heat. Why would you treat a person worse than an animal, "oh that's right to increase profit". Prisons get a lot of money from the government and state to house these people thats why the US has more people in jail per capita than any other country in the world. from dayton/ohio by randy
Comment: In the past jails did not have AC. Let the criminals live without the AC. Is the ACLU going to provide AC for the poor and elderly? Why should the criminal element have higher living standards? Get real ACLU! from Dayton , OH by Craig
Comment: Suck it up BUTTER CUP... We have elderly people that do not have any a/c and really need it... You don't deserve anything. from Spfld, Ohio by Lori

Comment: Think ok all is doing their part cutting back on electric, homes, business so cutting their electric at peak times should be ok also. from Enon Ohio by Jimmie Owens
Comment: Yes it is wrong. These people are human beings. They are not in Nazi prison war camps-is that the kind of people we are now? That would be down right evil. from Beavercreek, Ohio by Dorothy
Comment: It is inhumane to cut the electricity when they already can't get A.C. I have loved ones in Ohio's prison system. No matter the crime committed, they are human and heat can harm them also. I'll be watching closely ready to act. from Dayton/OH by Delioness41
Comment: Why not,I cut mine too save money,it would be different if they paid it theirselves,they can play there computers or watch there bigscreen instead. from dayton by Jeff
