COLD CASE: 11 years later, investigators working to find answers to Harrison Twp. murder
COLD CASE (WRGT) - It's been 11 years since Tony Mitchell was gunned down inside his Harrison Township home, but his killer remains on the loose.
Now, cold case investigators are taking another look at the March 25, 2005 homicide hoping to find someone or something that will lead them to an arrest.
Montgomery County Coroner's Office Investigator, Glen McIntosh, is heading up the investigation.
He says that Mitchell was found shot to death inside his Falmouth Avenue home.
"He was a person that got a long with everyone, so I believe that somebody does know who was in the area at that time what happened." said McIntosh.
Based on evidence, investigators believe Mitchell was shot sometime around 5 a.m. and likely by someone he knew.
"Tony was a real private person, so he always kept his front door shut," added McIntosh.
McIntosh said Mitchell sometime sold marijuana, but never let anyone inside his home he didn't know. Investigators aren't sure what the motive was or if anything was taken during course of the crime.
