Former Dunbar standout Baker commits to play basketball at Siena


DAYTON -- Former Dunbar basketball standout DeVon Baker committed to play for Sienna College on Monday.

As a sophomore Baker averaged more than 11 points per game.

In his junior year at Dunbar Baker averaged more than 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals per game.

For his senior season he transferred to Spire Academy where he averaged 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists per game as Spire made it to the national prep championships.

Sienna last made the NCAA Tournament in 2010. In 2009 the Saints played Ohio State in the first round in Dayton defeating the Buckeyes in double overtime before falling to Louisville in the round of 32.

Sienna is located in Albany, New York.
