Suspect in deadly night club shooting charged with murder
UPDATE - A man accused in the shooting death of 29-year-old Michael Mays Belton outside the K-9 Club in Jefferson township has been officially charged with his murder.
Dale Glenn, 30, was charged Friday, March 11, with one count of Murder (purposeful), two counts of Murder While Committing Felonious Assault, two counts of Felonious Assault and two counts of Having Weapons While Under Disability.
Glenn is the only person charged in Belton's murder.
JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP - A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 29-year-old Michael Mays Belton outside the K-9 Club in Jefferson Township. Dale Glenn, 30, has been arrested on charges of murder, but has not yet been formally charged.
Cameras at the K-9 Club captured the deadly shooting that happened in the parking lot overnight Tuesday. The owner tells FOX 45 that Belyon and the suspect had on-going issues. In video first obtained by FOX 45, you can see Belton is knocked to the ground by a man and then others join in, Belton runs and falls down then the gunman fires at him and take off in a car with a group of people.
This latest murder isn't the first the K-9 club has seen. Back in 2007, a man was shot and killed outside the club on Germantown Pike. Since then, there have been other incidents including additional shootings and assaults. The owner tells FOX 45 that in the 22 years he's owned the club, there have been issues but says he has bouncers at the door to frisk people before the enter.
Since 2000, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has had 2,000 different types of calls to the K-9 Club, an average of about 125 calls a year.
