Three dead in murder-suicide at a Springfield home

UPDATE: A third person has died, authorities say, after a murder-suicide shooting Tuesday night at a home on Quinlan Court.

The victims have been identified as Eric Sirons, 56, Jennifer Sirons, 49, and Andrea Heiser, 21. Eric Sirons died at the scene, authorities say, while Andrea Heiser was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center where she later died. Jennifer Sirons was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, she died early Wednesday morning. In a frantic 911 call, one of the children at the home pleaded with dispatchers to send emergency crews to her home, "I was in my room studying and I heard gunshots." The girl told dispatchers she was hiding in the bathroom of her home with her siblings. She then told dispatchers she thought her stepdad had shot her mom and sister, "is he going to shoot me too?" she asked the dispatcher.

The dispatcher then gave instructions to the girl and her siblings to hide in the bathtub with towels on top of them for cushion until help arrived.

Police are scheduled to give an update on the investigation at 2:00 p.m.

Their identities have not been released.

A third victim is in Miami Valley Hospital.

Her condition has not been released.

Police say all the victims lived in the house on Quinlan Court and were family members.


SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Springfield Police confirmed they are investigating a shooting in the 1300 block of Quinlan Court.

Officials said they do have crews on scene, but it's still an active investigation. No reports of injuries were immediately available.
