Police: Woman hit by car after vehicles chase each other at high speeds
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Dayton police are trying to sort out what led up to a high-speed chase involving three vehicles that ended with a woman getting hit by a car.
Sergeant Chad Knedler says officers were called to Gettysburg and Cornell on reports that a woman had been hit by a car.
Knedler said before the woman was hit, there were reports of three vehicles going 100 mph on I-75 and Salem Avenue. Investigators say the woman was in one of the vehicles and when they were in the area of Gettysburg and Cornell, she got out to confront a person in another vehicle and that's when she was hit. The woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
What police are trying to figure out now is what led up to the vehicles chasing each other. At this time, police aren't sure what type of vehicle hit the woman.
