Man found in parking lot of church with multiple gunshot wounds
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Medics took a man to the hospital after he was found in the parking lot of a church with multiple gunshot wounds Thursday evening.
Crews were called out to Greater Allen AME Church on reports of a shooting victim. Medics took a 30-year-old black man from the scene to the hospital, where he's in serious but stable condition.
As crews investigated, they said they found some shell casings outside an apartment complex near the intersection of College Street and Howell Avenue. They believe the victim was shot in the middle apartment and then went over to the parking lot of the church, where he was found.
There were also reportedly bullet holes in the apartment next to the one where shell casings were found. Crews forced entry, but no one was inside.
No information was released about a suspect in the case. If you know anything that can help with the investigation, call Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP.
