Xenia man accused of stabbing mother, sister to death

UPDATE: A Xenia man's been arrested after police say he stabbed his elderly mother and sister to death Thursday night.

Officers were called to the home on Hardacre Drive around 10 p.m. on the report of a stabbing where two people were hurt.

The victims have been identified as Estella Sheppard, 84, and Ralphael Sheppard, 57. Police say Ralphael Sheppard died at the scene, Estella Sheppard was taken to Greene Memorial Hospital where she later died from her wounds.

According to police, Winston Wright Sheppard, 55, stabbed the victims after an argument escalated. Sheppard is currently in custody at the Greene County Jail on two counts of Murder and two counts of Felonious Assault. His bond is $1 million.


UPDATE: A man is in the Greene County Jail Thursday morning, booked on charges of murder.

The man, Winston Wright Sheppard, 55, was arrested in the 30 block of Hardacre Drive in Xenia, the scene of a deadly double stabbing.

According to online jail records, Sheppard was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. and booked into the Greene County Jail on charges of Murder.

XENIA, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Two people are dead after a stabbing in Xenia Wednesday night.

Police were called to Hardacre Drive about a possible stabbing. One woman was pronounced dead on scene, and another was taken to the hospital where she was also pronounced dead.

There were four people inside the residence at the time of the incident, according to Xenia Police Captain Alonzo Williams. One person is being questioned as a person of interest, and another witness is being questioned.

So far, details about the relationship between the four people and the dynamics of the household have not been released.
