CANTON, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — It's pothole season, but a Canton woman says she's learned avoiding them can also cost you.
Alanna Corns is now stuck paying a traffic ticket for trying to avoid the potholes popping up everywhere. She says she was swerving around a bunch of them when she was pulled over by a State Trooper.
"They're all over. It's like an obstacle course. They're so bad that you just are rattled when you hit them," Alanna Corns said.
She posted a picture of her ticket online, where the Trooper specifically wrote Corns went "left of center dodging potholes." The ticket could cost her an addition $150-$250, FOX 8 Cleveland reported.
Corns is upset because she says there's no good option when you come up on a large pothole.
"So I have to take responsibility for that, but I more so wanted to post it to get awareness because the roads are horrible," Corns said. "Super frustrated. Cause if the city was doing what they were supposed to be doing, I wouldn't have to be dodging potholes, and I wouldn't have gotten the ticket in the first place."
