Montgomery County Jail starts training on new body scanner
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Officials across the country are trying to find ways to combat smuggling into prisons, and the Montgomery County Jail is getting a tool to help them in the fight.
In a Facebook post, the Sheriff's Office said jail employees will be training on their new body scanners this week. It can detect both drugs and weapons, and officials expect it to help keep contraband out of the jail.
County Commissioners approved $118,000 for the scanner last year.
