Miami Valley company building part of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum
VANDALIA, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – A Miami Valley company is helping to tell the story of the South by building part of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum.
Workers have been putting the museum together for the past 18 months, and Exhibit Concepts in Vandalia help tell the journey of black Mississippians in their fight for equality.
The museum will educate generations to follow about what happened in the Magnolia State from 1945 to 1970.
“It’s a large project, a very nationally recognized project,” Gerald Spandler said. “Very happy to be a part of it. We’re just one of a team of groups that have come together to design and fabricate and produce this exhibit.”
The museum is scheduled to be dedicated Saturday with President Donald Trump and Oprah Winfrey in attendance.
