DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Investigators are working to find out what caused a crash in the early morning hours Monday in Dayton that claimed a man's life.
The crash happened just after 1 a.m. and involved one vehicle on James H. McGee Boulevard at Philadelphia Drive.
We're told two people were inside the car, a male driver and female passenger. We're told the female passenger has non life-threatening injuries, but the driver died from his injuries. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has identified the driver as Dion Rutledge, 30, of Dayton. An autopsy is currently pending.
A crash reconstruction team was called to the scene to try and figure out what caused the crash. We do know Rutledge was headed southbound on James H. McGee at the time of the crash.
