Former National Guard armory property in Clark County sold in effort to redevelop site
CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The former National Guard armory property in Clark County has been sold in an effort to develop the site.
The Board of Clark County Commissioners sold the nearly 4.5-acre site to the Clark County Land Reutilization Corporation for 41. The county had finalized an agreement to purchase the site for $125,000 from the state earlier this year, and demolition of the buildings is expected to begin in the coming weeks.
County officials are working to develop the area, which includes recent developments such as the Love's Truck Stop and the Prime Ohio II industrial park. The land bank plans to immediately begin marketing the site to potential developers.
