DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Work has begun on the newest building at the University of Dayton.
Construction is underway on the new building along South Main Street. Once completed, the building will be for the Dayton Foundation, the Dayton Development Coalition and the University of Dayton's Fitz Center for Leadership in Community.
The $8.4 million facility will be a 38,000 square-foot facility will house offices for the three organizations and a shared meeting space. Construction is expected to be completed in September of 2019. The Fitz Center, Dayton Foundation and Dayton Development Coalition say they expect to work together on issues such as workforce development, pre K-16 educational access and success, socioeconomic determinants of health and reducing structural inequity.
