DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses are trotting back into the Miami Valley tonight.
The eight-horse team have been a tradition since 1933 and will be making three public appearances in the Miami Valley over the next three days.
On Wednesday night, the team will be harnessed and hitched to the famous red beer wagon for the Dayton Flyers' season opening game. The horses will be outside of UD Arena in the parking lot tonight, Wednesday, November 7, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m..
The team will make another appearance on Friday, November 9, from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway in Dayton. The final appearance will be Saturday evening, November 10, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., at Austin Landing to kick off the holiday season.
In order to be part of the iconic team, the Clydedales must be at least three years old, stand at least 18 hands - or six feet tall - at the shoulder and weigh an average of 2,000 pounds. The team meets millions of people each year.
