Coroner identifies victim in deadly Dayton shooting

    UPDATE: The Montgomery County Coroner's office has identified a man shot overnight and killed in Dayton as Tevin K. Million.

    An autopsy is pending at this time, which means the cause and manner of Million's death is not known at this time. Million was 27.


    DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A man is dead after a shooting in Dayton in the early morning hours, now police are searching for his killer.

    Officers were called to the 2300 block of Newport Avenue just before 4:00 a.m. A witness, who did not want to be identified told FOX45 he heard several shots, then a break in the shots, and then another round.

    Sgt. Chad Knedler said witnesses are cooperating with the investigation. At this time, homicide detectives are handling the investigation. The coroner's office is not yet releasing the victim's identity.

    Police say no other injuries have been reported from the shooting.
