UPDATE: Dayton Police said a 17-year-old male was booked into a juvenile detention center Friday in connection with this case.
He is facing a murder charge, and officials are set to meet with the juvenile prosecutor on Monday.
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Miami Valley Crime Stoppers is asking for help to find the person who killed a 22-year-old woman in Dayton on February 16.
Keyona Murray was killed when several shots were fired into her home on Lorenz Avenue around 8:00 p.m. that night. Murray was sitting in her bedroom with her 2-year-old child and 2-year-old nephew when one of the bullets hit her in the head. Murray died later that night.
Crime Stoppers are asking anyone with information to come forward, they're also asking that the person who fired the shots to turn themselves in. "The person who fired these shots has to know by now that their actions resulted in an innocent person’s death, and they need to come forward and speak to investigators," the agency said in a statement.
A $2,500 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest or arrests of anyone involved in the crime.
