DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Dayton Police are releasing photos and asking for help to identify a man accused of stealing two pole saw or trimmers from a work truck.

Police say the theft happened around 1:20 in the afternoon on August 16 from a work truck on Edward C. Moses Boulevard. According to police, the suspect stopped his silver Chevy Monte Carlo behind the truck, got out and then looked into the truck. The man then got back into his car and drove away. However, about 20 minutes later, he came back, got out of his car and police say he untied the pole saws from the truck and put them into his car, then drove away.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 50 years old, 5'9" tall and 200 pounds or more. Police also say he walks with a limp. The vehicle he was driving is a silver Chevy Monte Carlo with dark tinted windows, with a sunroof and damage to the front side panel. The car also has rust near one of the rear tires.

Anyone who recognizes the vehicle is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP. Anyone who gives information can remain anonymous.
