Many of us are waking up to frozen windshields and icy roads this morning. Since it will remain below freezing all day a thaw is out of the question. Snow will continue to accumulate all day today before finally tapering off through the late evening.
Most of us can expect up to 4-7" of snow by days end with some areas seeing 8"+. Areas in the Advisory (Mercer and Auglaize Co.) can expect 2-4". Also areas to our southeast (Xenia and areas east of US42) are expecting more sleet/freezing rain than snow.
Once the front passes we can expect highs in the 20s and lows in the teens for this Saturday with wind chills in the single digits.
Sunday into Monday we will have highs close to freezing and another system could bring us more sleet and snow. By Tuesday we will have our coldest day of the season with highs in the lower 20s and some lows will be in the single digits on Wednesday morning. More frigid weather on Thursday.
