This is truly a complex system where the path of the low and rain/snow line have been all over the place. Expect a wintry mix with snow this morning. As we continue through the morning we will see a mix of everything Rain and snow, sleet and even some light freezing rain. South of I70 by the early afternoon will see rain take over which will wash away any morning snow accumulations.

This rain line looks to continue to push well north through the Miami Valley which will inhibit some of our snow totals for maximizing their potential. The problem with this forecast is that the rain/snow line continue to move further and further north which limits snow to the south.

By Sunday evening we will see a wintry mix start to take over again eventually turning all back to snow overnight giving us a last batch of accumulating snow into Monday morning. MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE WILL BE ICY!

So how much to expect? Well it all depends where you live. Areas south of I-70 are in the 1-3" range with most of that falling Sunday night into Monday morning. Between I-70 and US-36 we have a smaller swath of 2-5" possible which could be closer to 3" depending on how much rain takes over. The highest totals in the Winter Storm Warning area could see 5-9" with areas north of the Miami Valley seeing a lot more!
***These numbers could still change but the north will of course receive the most snow since they have the best chance as keeping snow the main precipitation type during this event.

Ground Hog Day morning we have some left over snow which will wind down then we will see some sunshine into the afternoon. Temps will be quite cold only in the teens with single digit lows on Tuesday morning. Temps will be either side of 30 Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon with some light snow Wednesday (Less than an inch). Behind this system we cool down yet again with some sunshine Thursday and Friday but we will be either side of 20 degrees. Also note Friday and Saturday morning we will wake up to negative wind chills and lows just above zero degrees!
