String of Armed Robberies Continues in Miami Valley

MIAMI TOWNSHIP -- Another robbery, this one at a Meijer gas station.

Miami Township Police say a suspect, whose description and methods match the details of other recent robberies, held up a second gas station this morning, the latest the Meijer gas station at Alex Bell Road and State Route 741 in Miami Township.

"With every occurrence there's usually one thing left behind, whether it's a pattern, whether it's something dropped, some sort of piece is left behind, and hopefully we can compare everything we've gotten from these and come up with an answer," Miami Township Police Sgt. Paul Nienhaus said.

The other Friday morning robbery was reported about 1 a.m. at the Speedway on Central Avenue in West Carrollton.

Police say the suspect in these cases also matches the description of the suspect in other recent robberies. a white male, walked into the store wearing a black hoodie and a shirt over his face. When he got into the store he flashed a gun and took the cash from the register.

Police are looking for a four-door Chevy Blazer or black Chevrolet Silverado.

Fortunately, no one has been injured in the robberies.

Speedway Robber Likely Tied to String of Break-Ins

WEST CARROLLTON -- Another gas station is robbed, this time in West Carrollton.

Police say a masked man walked into the Speedway on Central Avenue about 1 a.m. Friday and held the clerk at gunpoint.

Police say the man who held-up this Speedway matches the description of the suspect in several other burglaries. The suspect, a white male, walked into the store wearing a black hoodie and a shirt over his face. When he got into the store he flashed a gun and took the cash from the register.

Police say a girl was also involved in this robbery and the two ran off with the cash.

A  K-9 was called in to track them but lost their scent.

Police believe the man may be involved in several other robberies in the Dayton area in the past few days.

Detectives suspect two men are working together and could be responsible for eight different robberies. Including Sammy's Market, Sunoco and the BP in Huber Heights. Both men have been seen wearing white t-shirts pulled over their faces and a fishing hat or a black hoodie.

Police say they could be driving a four-door Chevy Blazer or a black Chevy Silverado.

Fortunately, no one has been hurt.

Police say at this point they need help from the public. If you saw anything police are asking you to come forward and give that information to police.
