Field & Stream Store Coming to Austin Landing
MIAMI TOWNSHIP -- Township officials are excited to announce the newest tenant in Austin Landing: Field & Stream. The Miami Township Planning Department has been working closely with RG Properties to secure the anchor tenant in Austin Landing.
Field & Stream, which is owned by Dicks Sporting Goods Inc., has two existing stores in Cranberry Township, Pa., and Crescent Springs, Ky.
This store, along with another store in Columbus, will be the first stores in Ohio. The proposed 50,000-square-foot store will be located at the entrance of Austin Landing along Austin Boulevard near I-75.
The store will carry outdoor equipment and specific equipment for hunting, fishing, archery and camping. The building is expected
to go through reviews and approvals over the next month.
Miami Township is excited to bring this new offering to the Miami Valley, Miami Township Trustees Vice President Andrew Papanek said. Field & Stream is a destination retailer that will serve the entire Dayton market and all of northern Cincinnati. I am very proud of our staffs effort to make Austin Landing a unique destination that continues to
grow and attract these types of businesses.
The decision by Field & Stream to locate within Austin Landing and Miami Township again supports the planning and continual efforts on the part of the project developer and Miami Township to make the area a regional draw with unique tenants.
With the recent investments in an expanded regional bikeway system and the Bike Hub at Austin Landing, this project fits squarely within the Townships efforts to market to recreational enthusiasts.
Upon planning and building approval, the store is expected to break ground in March and open its doors in the Fall of 2014.
