Mother Charged After Father Says She Threatened her 2 Young Children

FAIRBORN--A Fairborn mother is locked up tonight for threatening to kill one of her children and mutilate another.

Police said Antwanette Woodard sent  cell phone pictures to the  father of  their 3 month old and two year old boys.

According to police, in one picture, it showed her holding a knife to one child, and in another  picture she was attempting to cut off the other child's  fingers with a pair of scissors.

Police said she also texted her ex-boyfriend  to "save money for 2 caskets and a funeral."

The father then called police.

"The father wanted to make sure his kids were in a safe situation,  and that's where we step in. We contacted Children's Services, in addition to doing our investigation as well." Fairborn Police Sgt. paul Hicks said.

Police pulled Woodward over in Fairborn, with both children in the car,  unharmed.  She was arrested for child endangering and is locked up in the Greene County Jail.

This isn't the first time, Woodard  has been arrested for child endangering.
In April, 2013,  she was arrested for leaving her then one year old alone in her car while she  shopped inside the Kroger on Dayton Yellow Springs Road.

Police said she locked her keys inside her car, and said it was too cold to wait for police, so she shopped  for a while before calling for help.

The latest case will go to the Grand Jury on Wednesday to decide on charges.

Earlier Coverage:

FAIRBORN -- A mother of two is facing a child endangering charge after police say she threatened her young boys.

Antwanette Woodard, 21, was arrested Tuesday after her children's father contacted police, saying she had threatened harm against the children, ages 2 months and 2 years.

D'LaQuan Glover says Woodward sent him one text message that stated, "since you want to be be with that ugly (expletive) then throw everything away and to save money for 2 caskets and a funeral."

Glover showed police one photo of Woodward holding one child by the head with a pair of scissors open and "appearing to be cutting the child's fingers," the police report reads. Another photo shows a hand holding what appears to be a knife in close proximity to one of the boys.

Glover said he was concerned Woodward would kill their children.

Police issued an endangering children complaint upon seeing the text message and photos.

Police also said Woodard was charged with child endangering April 19 after she left a child in her locked car. She told police at the time she had accidentally locked her keys in the car, but it was too cold outside to wait at the car, so she went into the store and decided to do some shopping.

Woodward told police she waited until after she was done shopping to call police. she said she was only shopping for a few minutes, but the police report noted that she had "3-4 bags of groceries from various areas within the store."

She was cited for endangering children in April for that case. She was arrested and transported to the Fairborn Jail following Tuesday's incident.
