UPDATE:Man Sought for Grabbing, Groping Girl at School
DAYTON -- Police are on the hunt for a man who grabbed and groped a child behind a school.
"She could be dead right now, she could be gone forever," Jessica Haverstock said about her daughter.
The close call happened when her 12-year-old daughter was jogging by herself around the track at Wilbur Wright Middle School, around 5:30 p.m. April 11.
Haverstock said the man came up and grabbed her daughter from behind, and touched her private parts. Her daughter was able to break free from his hold and she ran home.
"Thank God she got away. She came home and was flipping out. She fell to the ground crying."
Her daughter worked with Dayton Police and came up with a sketch of the suspect.
The girl said he's a bi-racial man and has a large mole on his face.
"I hope he gets arrested," Haverstock said.
Since the groping, this mom said her daughter now plays it safe.
"She does not go anywhere by herself at all. She always has someone with her."
"Keep your kids close to you, because there are a lot of creepers out there," she added.
Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to call Dayton Police at 333-COPS (2677).
