Raiders: Wright State, 2-1 record and 25th in the Baseball America Top 25 Poll, defeated #10 Clemson Friday 6-4 and Sunday 9-2 with a 6-2 loss on Saturday.

Junior lefthander Danny Sexton was named as the first Horizon League Pitcher of the Week for 2017.

Seth Gray led the hit attack as he went five of 10 with five RBI off two doubles and a homerun. JD Orr also collected five hit, including a double and a triple.

Sunday's victory was the 13th for WSU over a ranked program since the start of the 2007 season. It also marked the first time the Raiders had won two games over a ranked program in a series since taking the final two of a three-game series at #18 Mississippi February 24 and 25, 2007.

Gamecocks: South Carolina, 2-1, took the first games from UNC Greensboro 7-1 and 5-1 before falling to UNCG 1-0 on Sunday.

Junior right-hander Wil Crowe struck out seven in five scoreless innings of work in his first appearance since April 10, 2015 in the Gamecocks’ 5-1 win over UNCG. Crowe allowed just three hits and one walk to earn the victory. Crowe’s seven strikeouts is tied for the sixth highest total in the SEC.
