Trotwood WR Johnson transfers to Springfield
Trotwood senior wide receiver Caleb Johnson announced on his twitter account Thursday that he has officially transferred to Springfield for his senior season.
As a junior at Trotwood Johnson caught 51 passes for 882 yards including 13 touchdowns. Johnson consistently was a home run threat for the Rams offense through the air.
In Johnson's sophomore season he caught 52 passes for 599 yards and six scores.
Johnson currently holds scholarship offers from Toledo, Bowling Green, Akron, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Western Michigan, Bowling Green and Ohio.
He will likely fill the big hole left by the graduation of wide receiver Danny Davis who is signed to play at Wisconsin this fall.
