Top 22 - 2017: Miamisburg's Tyler Johnson
MIAMISBURG - Vikings senior wide receiver TylerJohnson broke out in a big way as a junior, but did so in spite of the team's run heavy option offense.
In 9 of the team's 13 games he caught just one or two passes. However, he averaged 22 yards a catch for more than 600 yards on 30 receptions, and scored 9 touchdowns. He figures to get more looks in 2017.
"Like most good football players, he wants the ball and we're going to throw it," Miamisburg head football coach Steve Channell said. "It's no secret when you've got a 6'3 wide receiver out there, you're going to throw him the football."
Johnson already has an offer from Navy with the chance for many more Division I programs to come calling after this season.
