PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKEF/WRGT) – It’s March Madness, and the top seeded University of Dayton Flyers are ready to sink their teeth into the Atlantic 10 tournament.

UD will take the floor for the first time March 10 against Davidson in the quarterfinal after getting a bye for the first two rounds due to them winning the conference title.

Last time the two faced off in late February, the game went into overtime, and UD grabbed the win 89-82.

The senior class for the Flyers has already has quite a list of accomplishments, including winning more games than any other in the history of the university, but the one thing missing from their resume is an A-10 tournament title.

“It’s something we haven’t done,” men’s basketball Head Coach Archie Miller said. “The seniors in particular have played for a conference title championship a few years ago in Brooklyn and came up short. It feels good to be in the conference tournament, and it hopefully sets you up for the next step, which is even bigger. You don’t want to end your season right now.”

“We want it really bad,” guard Kyle Davis said, “but life I said, we are more focused on getting better in practice than the game right now.”

Stay tuned on air and online as FOX 45’s James Rider and Erik Elken bring you all the action from Pittsburgh throughout the tournament.
