Archie Miller 'honored and excited' for move to IU
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WKEF/WRGT) - For six years, Archie Miller has been the head men's basketball coach at the University of Dayton.
This weekend we learned that he has accepted a position as the new head coach of the Hoosiers. Monday morning the Twitter page for IU basketball shared a picture of Miller walking into his new office in Bloomington with the caption, "Welcome home."
Miller released a letter to Flyer Nation, saying it was hard decision to leave Dayton. He says the move to Bloomington wouldn't have been possible without the players he's coached over the past few years.
As he leaves the university, Miller added that he sees a bright future for basketball in Dayton and says the Flyer's biggest fans will be in Bloomington.
Miller will hold a press conference at 3:00 p.m. Monday from Bloomington, Fox 45 will carry that online.
