Reds' Bailey to start season on disabled list after elbow surgery

CINCINNATI, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – The Reds rotation took a blow the morning of Feb. 8 when Homer Bailey went into surgery to try to remove bone spurs in his right elbow.

Team representatives said they expect him to get back to throwing in about 4 to 6 weeks, and he’ll likely begin the season on the disabled list.

The once trusty starter missed 15 months after Tommy John surgery, finally coming back to the team last July.
