Centerville's A.J. Hawk retires from the NFL
GREEN BAY, Wisc. (WRGT) -- Centerville native A.J. Hawk is done dragging people to the ground. The linebacker is calling it quits after 11 seasons, and is choosing to retire as a Green Bay Packer.
Hawk terrorized opposing offenses, and became the Packers all-time leading tackler with more than 1,100 tackles.
The former Elk parlayed a strong showing at Ohio State into NFL stardom. The packers liked him so much, they made him the 5th overall draft selection in 2006. The rest is history. He won a Super Bowl win over the Steelers, and Pro Bowl in 2010. Now he can ride off into the sunset of retirement.
