Coldwater vs. Bishop Hartley
MASSILLON -- Coldwater needed an interception near the endzone to spark a 24-7 win over Columbus Bishop Hartley.
The Cavaliers led 10-0 but a fumble helped Hartley turn it into a 10-7 contest.
Brody Hoying picked off a pass just in front of the end zone to turn momentum back to the Cavs.
Hoying scored a pair of 4th quarter touchdowns to help seal a 24-7 win.
Coldwater (13-2), the defending Div. V state champion, now owns four state titles (2013, 12, 07, 05). The Cavaliers have played in the state championship game each of the last five seasons, making them the first school in OHSAA history to play 75 games in a five-year span. They are now 55-15 all-time in the playoffs and own the states longest active streak of qualifying for the playoffs at 18-straight years.
