Question of the Day

Do you think Senator Portman's stance on gun control will help or hurt him politically?

83.33% IT WILL HELP
16.66% IT WILL HURT

Comment: Get a brain , more gun control will never take guns out of the hands of criminals. Just law abiding citizens. But that is what you really want anyway ! Well come and get them ! from fairborn ohio by rick barnett

Comment: Thank you Senator Portman for helping protect our Constitutional rights from Centerville/Ohio by Christine

Comment: I WILL TELL YOU ONE THING IF HE CHANGES HIS MIND HE WILL NOT GET MY VOTE! IT IS A PROVEN FACT GUN CONTROL DOES NOTHING TO CURB VIOLENCE. GOOD PEOPLE WITH GUNS STOP BAD PEOPLE WITH GUNS.. POLICE FILE A REPORT AFTER THE FACT...BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL DEALER PURCHASES NOW..ITS NONE OF ANYBODYS BUSINESS IF I GIVE MY SON OR MY BROTHER A FIREARM. THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A WAY TO REGISTER ALL GUNS SO THEY KNOW WHERE TO LOOK WHEN THEY DECIDE TO CONFISCATE THEM..READ YOUR HISTORY BOOKS..THIS IS HOW HITLER GOT STARTED THIS IS AMERICA IF YOU DONT LIKE IT LEAVE!!!!!! from miamisburg by matt

Comment: Politicians fail to remember that they are voted in by their constituents, and are expected to reflect this community's attitude. When you do not respect our position, and instead vote against Gun Controls, you have disenfranchised our representation, and we need to vote in someone that does. We as voters have allow our U.S. Senators and U.S. Representative to do as they please, with no feedback. Get them out of office. from Dayton OH by Mary E

Comment: The 2nd amendment shall not be infringed, and that includes congress and even the president. from Clayton, Ohio by DJ

Comment: Senator Portman understands his duties under the Constitution. He also knows what "infringed" means. The procedures are in place for modifying The Constitution. Repeal the Second Amendment if you think you are in the right, otherwise shut up! The anti-gun extremists continue to throw out fictitious poll results that everyone knows is not true. Criminals do not obey laws so having another gun law only infringes upon law abiding citizens who do not commit crimes in the first place. Thank you Senator Portman. Good job. from New Carlisle, Oh by Al

Comment: The 'Mom's' mean well but are misguided because they act on emotion, not logic. from fairborn,Oh. by the 'ol Man

Comment: iwont vote for hem by jro
