Idol Chatter: Final 9 Perform

The top 9 perform to songs from the Lennon-McCartney songbook--and once again the girls out perform the guys

The country girls couldn't be more different--but were both standouts last night

Janelle Arthur -needed to make a comeback this week... and did with her soft and subtle version of "I Will"
Beautiful voice and looks like a country star definitely safe this week

Kree Harrison--continues to wow the judges and audience with her powerful pipes-- Great song choice ---"With a Little Help from My Friends"
She has such an authentic country voice-- She's safe Will be interesting to see which of these two ultimately wins the country vote as the competition continues

Candice Glover--bringing a little rock edge with her version of "Come Together"
She is just such a natural--it all seems effortless--and while some of the other contestants look so rehearsed on stage-the music just pours out of her during her performances
But- she has set the bar so high for herself from the very beginning of the whole show--she will have to find ways to take her singing to an even higher level to stay at the top It was another great performances for her--and she will definitely be safe

Lazaro struggled again --but America will probably keep him in another week...
Another disappointment came from...

Paul Jolly-he also failed to impress he judges again this week with his song "Eleanor Rigby". It seemed to lack authenticity and connection It found his way mid-way through--but will it be enough

Devin Velez also needs to worried about tonight's elimination
