Idol Chatter: Curtis Eliminated

Very eventful results show
Bon Jovi and Phillip Phillips both perform live.... and after 26 million votes we find out who is heading home

Throughout the show, we learn that Candice, Angie and Kree make up the top 3---and Curtis Finch and Devin Velez are the bottom two America decided that gospel singer Curtis should go home--but he gets one last chance to sing for his life, and the judges can decide whether to use their one save of the season

He sings "I believe I can fly"--It is very nicely done....but even as Nikki threatens to leave the show if Curtis goes home--the judges overall decide they are not ready to use up their one save Curtis is eliminated

Devin has a great voice--but song choice really hurt him this week--He is not a memorable contestant..and will need to try to do something to make himself stand out Although it's probably just a matter of a few weeks before all of the guys disappear from this competition--so his goal is simply not to be the next to go

NOTE-Lazaro seemed to have the worst vocal performance on Wednesday night--but was the highest ranking guy (coming in 4th overall)--so this comes down to who America really connects with (not necessarily the voice)

In other Idol business....
America gets to vote on who will be the 11th idol to go on tour this summer They bring back 2 contestants who were voted off last week
Charlie Askew and Aubrey Cleland
Both perform... and right after the show, America could vote for one or the other We'll find out the results on Wednesday
(they do not get to rejoin the live shows---simply get to go on the summer Idol tour)
