RTA Board of Trustees ratifies contract, Local 1385 voting today
DAYTON, Ohio (WRGT) - The RTA Board of Trustees have voted unanimously to ratify the tentative agreement between RTA and members of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1385.
Buses returned to the road on Friday, January 13 after RTA and Union leaders spent more than 12 hours negotiating. While the RTA Board of Trustees have voted to approve the agreement, members of Local 1385 still have to give their approval. Voting is open now for union members and continue until 7:00 p.m. tonight. Union leaders expect the agreement to pass without a problem and say all votes should be tallied by 8:30 tonight.
Under the agreement, union members will receive a raise based on tenure and will have better health care coverage. Read more on the agreement here:
