Pay It Forward: Project Linus
Project Linus began in 1995 but Mary Sue Davis began her work with the Dayton chapter in 1998.
Davis, the chapter coordinator, said Projet Linus is dedicated to making blankets for sick and traumatized children, ages newborns to 18 years old.
Since 1998, she has helped create 50,000 blankets for kids throughout the region.
There's a Blanket Day in March and Davis says she will gather up to 500 blankets and take them to Dayton Children's Hospital, where they will be gone in a day.
Davis said she doesn't even know how many volunteers she has donating blankets because many people give without expecting to be recognized.
