Pay It Forward: Former addict helping others with a second chance at life
The Life Enrichment Center was started 14 years ago after Jeffrey Sorrell took a trip to Los Angeles and toured the Dream Center.
Sorrell came back to Ohio and quit his job of 16 years to start a place that gives refuge to the less fortunate in the Dayton area while also promoting a change for a better life. Sorrell is now running a facility that feeds the hungry in the area by serving hot meals and distributing groceries on a weekly basis. The facility also offers career counseling, life skills classes, wellness facilities and drug rehabilitation services.
Sorrell is a former addict and says he’s paying forward because he believes every person deserves a second chance.
