Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots soar over $300 million

The Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots are each more than $300 million. This morning, it was announced that Mega Millions' jackpot had soared to $393 million, that's a cash pay-off of about $246 million. While that's a lot of money, the jackpot's been higher in the past. In March of 2012, the jackpot climbed to a staggering $656 million, three people shared that jackpot, each taking home $218.6 million.
Of course, the odds of winning are slim, according to CNN Money, the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 259 million. So, what are the odds of winning BOTH, 1 in 75.6 quadrillion.
This is the first time both Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots have each been higher than $300 million.
