Ohio construction worker keeping site safe by dancing
COLUMBIANA, Ohio (CNN Newsource) - An Ohio construction worker is keeping the site safe by busting a move.
Matt Cochrane is a flagger, a position drivers should notice but sometimes may not. Cochrane says he decided to start dancing the pass the time on the job, but says he noticed how fast people were driving in the area and decided it was a way to get their attention, "I don't care if you are on your phone. You aren't supposed to do it, but I see a lot of people doing it. It gets your attention," he said.
He says his dancing makes a lot of people smile, which encourages him to keep it up. People are noticing too, he says his crew has received donuts and pizza from appreciative drivers, "You know we just like everybody else, we want to make it home at the end of the day too." He says he hopes his dancing will make the headaches of construction zones a little less of a headache.
Cochrane says he also wants to remind drivers to put downt heir cellphones and be aware of construction workers.
