(WKEF/WRGT) - An eye-opening video is reminding drivers the importance of stopping and not passing a stopped school bus.

Video shared by the Minnesota State Patrol on its Facebook page shows a video feed from a school bus. The driver stops and can be heard saying goodbye to students getting off the bus. As one student crosses in front of the bus you hear a honking horn and that's when one of the students stops, just in the nick of time. On the left side of the screen you see a pick-up truck driving past the bus, nearly running over the student.

The State Patrol says the driver is the one who honked, alerting the student of the truck. The video has been viewed nearly 50,000 times and has been shared more than 500 times. According to the State Patrol, police found the driver and has been charged.
