Dancing Rewind: no elimination this week
It was Guilty Pleasures Night on Dancing with the Stars! The 11 remaining contestants got to let loose and focus on fun dance routines this week. These routines were expected to be longer than their previous dances, so stars are having to remember more choreography. Two stars are edging very close to perfect scores, and others are definitely showing huge improvement. No one was eliminated this week.
The best of the night…
Lindsay Stirling and partner Mark won the night with pajama party Jive. These two creative minds are sure to entertain us each week. The choreography is so playful, yet filled with intricate footwork. Lindsay enthusiasm is infectious. They earned three 9s- the highest score of the season. She came on the show relatively unknown, but is quickly becoming a fan favorite. 27/30
Jordan Fisher and pro Lindsay wowed the judges again this week with their Charleston. His guilty pleasure is reading comic books, and their super hero-themed dance was incredible! They included acrobatics, lifts, turns and leaps. He is great at entertaining, but sometimes places the visual appearance of the dance above doing the correct ballroom style. Two judges gave him 9s, but Judge Len only gave him a 7. 25/30
HGTV star Drew Scott started this season as quite possibly the worst technical dancer on the show. But hard work pays off, and he showed off greatly improved skills in last night’s Argentine Tango. Drew loves crime shows,so they incorporated that theme into their dance. He does a great job getting into character and incorporating lifts. His tall height makes leg work challenging, but he is doing much better.
Nick Lachey was slated to be a front-runner at the start of the season, but he is still struggling three weeks in. The Cincinnati native seems to be working so hard, but can’t make a breakthrough with the judges scores. Nick loves romantic comedies, so he and Peta certainly entertained with 80’s themed aerobic dance. Although funny, the dance lacked any true dance content. They got all 7s, leaving them near the bottom of the pack again this week. 21/30
Dancing with the Stars is back next Monday with more dancing and a big elimination.
