Water issues force early release for three Miamisburg schools
MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Several schools in Miamisburg are releasing students early today due to a water main break.
The City of Miamisburg posted on its Facebook page earlier Friday morning saying some residents and businesses in the city either have low water pressure or no water. Crews are working to figure out what's causing the problem and a boil advisory is likely to be issued in the affected area later today, the city says.
As a result, Bear, Kinder and Mark Twain schools are releasing at 11:00 a.m., according to the school district. All PM Kindergarten is cancelled for the day, the district says.
Schools are following the Emergency Release Place that families submitted at the beginning of the school year. Students who are not picked up by parents will be taken to Medlar View Elementary, where parents can pick them up, or they'll be taken home at the end of the day.
