Trotwood restaurant is robbed for the sixth time in ten years
TROTWOOD, Ohio (WRGT/WKEF) -- A thief broke into Broadway Cafe in Trotwood Thursday morning. It's the sixth time the restaurant has been broken into over the past ten years.
This time, someone repeatedly bashed their way in through the front, and eventually crawled through an opening they made.
The owner, Antonio Celik, said the thief made off with $100 and damaged the door. Last year the owner was shot during a robbery, and has since got his conceal and carry license. He said workers are terrified.
“Can you change my schedule because I'm afraid that maybe the robber will come again,” Celik’s employees asked him, “I said yes, you're right. I've got family, you've got family.”
Celik is frustrated. He said this keeps happening. and he wants this person caught. He's glad he wasn't around this time because he fears he could have been shot again.
