Troopers say heroin a factor in multi-vehicle crash
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol believes heroin is a contributing factor in a crash where three people were found unresponsive.
The crash happened on Plymouth Street near Fernwood Street in Middletown just after 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30.
According to a release, a 2004 Dodge Stratus was traveling east on Plymouth Street when it drifted off the road and struck five parked cars.
Upon arrival, Troopers say Middletown EMS found three unresponsive occupants in the Dodge.
All three were revived with Narcan at the scene.
The driver, Shannon Williams, 45 of Middletown, was charged with OVI, Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Schedule IV Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
