Search warrant reveals details of toddler's death in a car

According to documents. Sofia's mother was late to work and didn't take her to daycare (WKRC)

MASON, Ohio (WKRC) - Court documents shed some light on how a mother left her toddler in a car all day in Mason. Sofia Aviero was found dead on August 23.

According to those court papers, Sofia's mother was running late to her job at the Procter & Gamble offices on Mason Montgomery Road. She was supposed to take the 15-month-old to daycare. She only learned of the mistake when Sofia's father went to pick up the little girl at daycare and she wasn't there.

Preliminary autopsy results found her death is consistent with a heat-related death.

Police took the car and several items inside as part of the investigation.
