RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Riverside Police are investigating the death of newborn baby, after being discovered buried in a backyard.

Detectives say the little girl's parents are cooperating, but questions still linger about what happened.

“At this point I just want answers and some justice for that little baby,” neighbor Jeremy Ryan said.

Ryan lives a few doors down on Richland Avenue.

“I'm dumbfounded by it for sure,” Ryan said.

Sunday night, he knew something was up when Riverside Police and BCI investigators flooded his neighborhood.

“We pulled in and we see about 5-6 cop cars right there,” Ryan said.

Hours later, Diana Hanayik noticed digging in her neighbor's backyard.

“It had this big bright light on it, that lit up the whole back yard, they were back there for a half hour then they were gone,” Hanayik said.

At the home you can see the tiny hole behind the garage where police say baby Addalynn George was buried.

“It bothers me, to know someone would do that with a little baby,” Hanayik said.

The initial tip was called into Kettering Police from an anonymous source who said something happened at the home.

The case is now being handled as an abuse of corpse investigation.

“Who put that child back there, and why?” Hanayik questioned.

Riverside Police won't go on camera to talk about the case, but say they are interviewing the girl's parents and others who know the family.

Neighbors say the couple was private and many didn't know they had a baby.

“It brings a lot of questions to my mind, I don't know how to even explain it,” Ryan said.

Ryan says he is praying for the family and demanding justice for Addalynn.

“That is just insane to me, I can't believe something like that happened,” Ryan said.

Police say there are no suspects and the investigation is ongoing.

Once an autopsy report is complete, that should give investigators some answers about her death.
