Centerville Police: Contractor falls to his death while working on roof
UPDATE: The investigation into the death of contractor who fell from a roof in Centerville Wednesday continues. The director of OSHA's Cincinnati office says it is working to find out what sort of work Mark French, 64, of Dayton was doing.
French was a contractor for P&R Communications, based out of Dayton. P&R Communications tells OSHA it is working to find out why French was on the roof at a building on campus at Bethany Village, a retirement home in Centerville.
UPDATE: Centerville Police said a contractor was working on the roof of a tower at Bethany Village when he fell to his death.
According to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office, 54-year-old Mark French of Dayton died in the accident.
CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Police say a person has died in a workplace accident at Bethany Village, a retirement community in Centerville.
The person killed was an outside contractor for Bethany Village, police are not releasing information at this time about what type of contracting work was being done. They do want the public to know the accident did not involve any of the residents, all residents are safe and accounted for.
While no other information is being released at this time, crews were originally dispatched to the 6000 block of Far Hills Avenue on the report that a tree branch had fallen and a person was not breathing.
