COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - The public is invited to join a celebration honoring the life of former Ohio State head football coach Earle Bruce Wednesday morning.

(Mobile users may need to click here to watch the memorial service live, starting at 10:30 a.m.)

The hour-long event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Arena.

Head coach Urban Meyer and former head coach Jim Tressel were expected to be among the featured speakers, along with Bruce’s grandson, Zach Smith.

The event will also feature music by students from OSU’s marching and athletic bands.

Free parking is available in the North St. John Arena lots and the Riverbank lot.

Bruce, 87, died last week after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

In lieu of flowers, the university has requested contributions to be made to the Earle and Jean Bruce Alzheimer’s Research Fund in Neurology at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.

ABC 6/FOX 28 will carry live coverage on the event online here.
